Today’s instruction was to work with two things that don’t normally go together.

This sparked some interesting ideas from the family. We considered the merger of cats and vinegar. Intriguing.

But I needed a combination that would inspire some words. After all, that’s my theme for this year of creating.

As I poured my glass of wine, preparing to “wine down” after a busy work week, I scanned the kitchen for materials. Goldfish crackers and a pencil? A cheese grater and a cell phone? A couple dice and a potato masher?
