Day 87 prompt: Games
Once upon a time, games gathered families (or friends)
Now we have Words with Friends (or strangers)
Games were for Sunday afternoons and special occasions
Now we play wherever and whenever we’ve got wireless
We rested elbows on a table
Now we poise thumbs over keypads
The best mathematician kept a paper tally sheet
Now digital scoreboards keep running stats
Friendly banter bounced around the game board
Now competitors exchange unseen, silent smirks
