Day 206 prompt: Hiding
Hey, Mommy!
Mommy?
Where’s Mommy?
Mommy?
Have you seen Mommy?
Mommy?!
Has anyone seen mommy?
MOMMY?
Mommy, where are you?
MOMMY!
I need you, mommy!
MOOOOOOMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!
flush
Oh.
Hi, mommy.
Have you seen my harmonica?
My ex-boyfriend’s parents used to “hide in the house” (on purpose, giggling the whole time) from their three boys. When he told me this, it was a funny story. Now? Man, I *get* it.
That’s funny! I like the idea of hiding with a partner, just for fun … rather than alone, out of necessity (or desperation!). Thanks for the idea!
Once I went to the bathroom without my kids noticing 3 & 4 at the time – they asked where I was & my sister said sarcastically that I went to china – the totally flipped out & cried. Poor kids but I still kind of giggle about it years later. Dont judge.
They may be scarred for life. But I just had a great giggle, too!
