While mama taught the ABCs
My sibs had other songs for me
So my toddler tunes were various
From Little Teapot to Aquarius

Mom hummed The Old Gray Mare
They sang tunes from the rock opera Hair
She gave me This Little Light
They taught Everything’s Alright

With Mom I hunted for Thumbkin
With them I Let the Sunshine In
I rapped about cookies taken from a jar
And belted out Jesus Christ Superstar
