Enough Fluff

Day 331 prompt: Fluffy

Do English teachers still demand a certain
word count for students’ compositions?

I’m sure thorough understanding and thoughtful
arguments are their well-intended missions.

But honestly, instructors must admit that all
those extra words make writers sound so stuffy.

Rewarding written quantity instead of prizing
brevity gives rise to text that’s fluffy.
