some days
worries
and annoyances
weigh so much
lines and creases
form
under the grumpy weight
that presses
on my head

but then
some song
or idea or cat
or remark or smile
or kiss
airlifts that burden
away
leaving a lightness
that soothes
my mood
and smooths
my forehead
