I learned a new trick from today’s make something activity.
The idea was to make something using a candle. In his published prompt, Noah Scalin offered two ideas. One was to use drips from a lit candle to make an image. The other was to use an unlit candle to draw, then expose the wax by covering it with watercolor or ink.
I’ve done this sort of resist painting with crayons. But I never thought of using a candle! The cheap taper I found in a drawer was perfect. It was easy to hold and created wide, smooth lines. Eureka!
