Alligators, lizards,
crocodiles and snakes—
all dry, scaly creatures
that give me the shakes.

Their blood runs so cool
they need warmth from the sun.
They slither flat-bellied
or use short legs to run.

Tortoise and turtle
I can take pretty much.
But most creatures reptilian?
Yeah. Not-so-much.
