Gus’s Garbage Goof (revised)

Day 24 prompt: garbage

Gus galloped down Green Street on garbage day

Weaving round waste cans that got in his way

Tripped on a Tonka truck toting some tweezers

And fell on the footpath facing a freezer.

While plucking out pebbles poked into his palms,

The boy bumped a big basket of brown bonbons

Sending them spiraling down by his shoe string.

The curious cuss considered consuming

Merely a morsel – might be mallow or mint.

What harm would that hold? Alas, he missed a hint.

Lettered and laminated, large on a loop:

Prescription: Prune-Filled Candy Promotes Prompt Poop.
