Day 108 prompt: Glass
Through closed window
I watch you playing
and talking to yourself.
What is it you are saying?
Small hands gripping chains,
you squeeze into the swing.
Still your lips keep moving.
Do you speak or do you sing?
Cozy sweatshirt in a lump,
you’ve peeled and cast aside,
not noticing the dusky chill.
How can you stay outside?
In a moment I will lift this glass
and call out through the screen.
If only this pane were a camera.
How can I freeze this scene?
