A full workday followed by a play-off baseball game did not leave the kind of time I would have liked to spend on today’s make something activity.
The idea: create something using fabric dye or food dye.
I took a shortcut with Sharpies and rubbing alcohol—an idea that keeps popping up on Pinterest. I hadn’t seen anyone attempt this technique on words. The examples I’ve seen revolve around dots and splotches of Sharpie ink, which respond to drops of alcohol by spreading into a lovely tie-dye effect.
After my experiment with words, I suggest sticking with random dots and splotches.
Ah well. They can’t all be winners. And I can still wear this shirt to bed.
