Day 124: Make something seem like it is passing through a wall or other solid material that it normally wouldn’t or couldn’t.

Conceptually, I knew exactly what I wanted to communicate in response to today’s prompt. I wanted to show how words and scenes and characters and stories can take us right through a book and into a place we could not otherwise reach.

My drawing skills are amateur at best. But with a few pointers from my son, who really does have a knack for drawing and other visual arts, I managed to sketch an image that very nearly shows what I had in mind. Initially, I imagined drawing castles and heroes and villains and dream scenes and other miraculous images along the road … but I defaulted to words, written in my own hand, to convey what I experience by reading.
